McCrone, founded by the late Dr. Walter C. McCrone, renowned scientist and chemical microscopist, maintains one of the most comprehensive micro-analytical labs in the world.

Attendees should arrive between 4pm and 5:30pm.   As you arrive, you will be given a number corresponding to a tour group (first come-first tour).   A virtual tour of the laboratory will be running continuously in the conference room before your tour commences.   The tour consists of seven tour stops: cleanroom, scientific imaging and art, light microscopy, chemistry, electron microscopy, and surface analysis.   A tour-guide will escort you and senior staff scientists will be positioned at each stop to answer questions and demonstrate the technique where possible.   Each tour lasts 30-45 minutes.

After the tour, you should proceed directly to the Marriott for the dinner meeting.   Exit McCrone's parking lot and turn right to the traffic signal at Ogden.   Turn left (east) on Ogden and go to Route 83.   Go north (left) on Route 83 and proceed to the Marriott.

Directions to McCrone Associates

From the North: Take 294 South and exit onto Ogden Avenue west (Rte. 34).   Drive 2 miles west, and immediately after Rte. 83 (Kingery), at the second set of lights, turn right onto Pasquinelli Drive. McCrone is on the left side, 0.6 miles north of Ogden Avenue.

From Chicago: Take the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) west about 20 miles.   Follow the signs for Roosevelt Road (center lane when at the split in Hillside).   Exit onto Roosevelt; drive west about 2 miles.   Exit Route 83 (Kingery) south.   After 31st Street, turn right at the next exit (Oakmont Lane).   At the stop sign, turn left onto Pasquinelli Drive.   McCrone Group is 1 block south, on the right.

Parking at McCrone is available directly in front of the building.
